Please join the RFK Democratic Club Inc., our victorious endorsed candidates, elected officials and members, as we celebrate an active and successful campaign season. Additionally, we will be collecting non-perishable and canned food for the Regional Food Bank.

 

The event, open to the public, will feature hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

 

Admission is:

 

Paid Members: $5 for members or free with non-perishable food donation

 

Non-Members: $10 for non-member or $5 with non-perishable donation (Non-members may join at the door, if you choose)

RFK Dems collecting money for Van Aller farm devastated by Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene. Larry Van Aller's dairy farm is a total loss. Luckily, most of his cows have survived, although they have been moved to another farm. The RFK Club wants to help Larry & his family, who have been farming since 1895, get back on their feet. McCoy Supports Marriage Equality for New York

Albany County Legislator, Bryan Clenahan, wrote and had a resolution passed in the Albany County Legislature supporting Marriage Equality for New York state. At the time, Albany County Legislator, Dan McCoy (currently the Democratic candidate for County Executive) refused to sign the resolution. Many were upset that a Democrat would take such a position, but to be fair, he came around in full support of gay marriage for New York around the time that the new law was passed.

Below is his statement:

….The issue of equal rights is more personal to me than many may know, because close family members of mine are openly gay. I have strong beliefs in marriage and for too long same-sex couples have been denied this basic freedom. I am happy that New York State is about to be on the right side of this civil rights struggle.”

Please join us for our monthly meeting and networking social hour! This month's meeting topic is "The Conservative Party and its Effect on the Democratic Party: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly". This month's guest speakers include:

Assemblyman Jack McEneny
County Legislator Bryan Clenahan
County Legislator Tim Nichols
County Legislative Candidate Noelle Kinsch.

The meeting will have a cover cost of $5 for non-members but free for members or those who pay membership dues at the meeting. There will be light appetizers and a cocktail hour after the conversation.
